Strike a Pose; A TIGER POSE!

Isn't that the hottest, most sexiest man alive?! Ayyyyyyy! I'm sorry but I have the hugest crush on this guy! =D Let me tell everyone about this picture. This is Skyler, my lovely hunny, striking his signature TIGER POSE! He's working the camera so well, isn't he?? Man, what will I do without him?? Just look at him. =D What a hottie! Hehe, well I am leaving peeps, it's your lucky day. I leave Friday a.m. really nice and early. If I don't get to keep contact with another (i.e. If I don't have internet there) then I hope everyone has a fabulous summer! I'm going to miss everyone (especially my little Tiger to the right>>). I'll be back on August 13th--feel free to email: moeishellofcool@yahoo.com. Later peeps!!! *xoxo*

Don't hate, APPRECIATE!

Sky's right about the sex thing. The more you shield your kids from "running," the more they will want to run. The whole point in being a young person is to learn and make mistakes and learn some more. It's important to learn the lessons that often parents don't want you to learn before you head off to live alone. Take having a job, for example. Although I'm not the biggest fan of working, I'm glad that I have a job for many reasons. This job has taught me to be dependable, responsible, resourceful, punctual, and most of all, independent. I may not work is some big corporation, or at a fast food joint, but retail has taught me valuable skills that I cannot acquire by just asking my parents for them. The fact that they pushed me to have a job gets me ready for when I no longer live with them so that I can support myself. So then telling me that I can't NOT have a job makes me that much more determined to learn what I can from the experience they're essensially making me endure. It's the same thing with sex. The more parents embrace the fact that there is such thing as sex and their kids KNOW about it, then the easier it will be to cope. When parents fill their children's heads with lies about how sex is horrible and it ruins you, it makes kids want to do it more. Parents should encourage SAFE sex as opposed to no sex because the "no" goes through one ear and out the other. Drinking presents the same thing. If parents emphasize the effects of the activity (drinking, sex, running) and what could happen should something go wrong, that will prompt kids to consider that before engaging in that particular activity. But that's just my opinion...and I'm CRAZY! *xoxo*
Its crazy how a song will throw you back in time. Like, just now, 20 seconds ago now, I left like a different person for a moment as I let a song sink into my soul. The songs a country one, Mr. Mom, and every time I hear it, I think back in the begining of the year. Going to school, listening to country, and most importantly, watching Monique sing every word as we listened to it on the radio. Music is such a wonderful thing, I feel so glad that all those feelings just came back to me, cause I can sit for a minute here, listening to this song as I type here. Good memories will last a lifetime :-D

Here is a thing I wrote for my human sexually class. Thought someone might like it. I haven't edited it, so, maybe I'll come along later and delete this sentence and fix what I want to say.

________________
You said yesterday during the beginning of class that times have changed for children, making us think that its a bad thing that kinds don’t run around anymore. Like in your story, My dad has also told me stories about running around, free in the neighborhood. I always though that was interesting because it was something that I never did. I wonder, is that sort of activity more dangerous now-a-day, or do we just think it is more dangerous? I think that it’s the idea that parents don’t think that there children are able to learn for themselves. I think this idea set of parents is true growing up, even into the teen years. Not that I know exactly the best way to parent, but I think now-a-day parents would rather keep there children safe, then get hurt and learn a lesion. The reason I think this is bad is that in order to learn in life, you have to fall and get back up again. If your constantly sheltered by parents, once you do enter the real world, your at a disadvantage to those who have had more experience in life in general. I think this is true for sex and sex education as well. As a parent, you can do all you can to tell your children to stay away from sex, but the real learning point is in being prepared and leaning as you go. I also think it is important to learn know information before you go in, but like in life, your not always going to have the answers before you do something. Keeping kids away from sex is keeping them away from running. Kids will be able to figure out sex, just like running, because it’s human nature. And as a parent, and as a society, it should be in our best interest to teach as best we can, but not to deny that sex exists. People need to find out on there own what it is, maybe learning from there mistakes as they go. Cause sheltering kids from anything will just make it that much harder for them when they do grow up.

What's the deal with The Aviator? Last night, Monique and I rented The Aviator, thinking it would be interesting. I had heard good things about it, and I knew it was an Oscar type film, so I thought I'd enjoy it. We started watching it a bit late, starting around 9pm. The first hour was cool, him flying planes and yelling at people. But after a while, the movie started to get boring. I guess I'm a new kid, but I don't know who his lady fried was, that Hefburg. And that went with his other lady friends. Well, the main idea was, the movie had too many loose ends that never were explained or ended. The only real thing in the movie that has an ending is that, his big plane flew. Thats it! It could have taken a third the time to do that in a movie. I could fire up iMovie on my mac and do a better job at editing that movie. I think the reason I didn't understand the movie was that I didn't know who Howard Hughes was. I wanted to know, I wanted a good movie, but this Aviator movie was no good. It just showed this little part in this mans life, and if judging just from the movie, whats the end? The ending was the most surprising part of this movie. It just stop right in the middle of something! Arg, fucking annoying. Okay, enough ranting. I did see a good movie yesterday, Batman Beginning.

Photoshop

It's been a day of sitting at my computer so, I had some fun with Photoshop. Here are the pics I did some editing on. I added motion blur to the pic to give it a feel of actual movement, then put text in. This is my car, a BMW 325e. Kind of obvious from the picture. I took this shot last summer, down near San Luis Obispo. Anyway, hopeful I'll be heading to Monique's house soon. We'll see...

My Canada Trip

Check out the pictures we took in Canada over the weekend.

Another Wednesday Night

Well, its been quite a week. Lots of things gone on. So its Wednesday night and I wanted to write a little for fun. I'm trying to watch Seinfeld in the background here, so this will probably take a while to work. Today was a good day. I know everyone wants to hear about that so, lets get down to it. Woke up actually on time this morning around 9am. I got to try out a new Styling Gel that I bought last night. When I was in Canada, I used my friend Alex's hair gel and I really liked it. I've been using extreme hold stuff, that really keeps my hair stiff all day. The stuff my friend gave me kept my hair looking good, but it didn't make it rock hard. So, the stuff I bought last night was about the same kind of 'hold index' that he had. I don't get these index holds that companies put on there. They advertise the index from 1-10, but (this is of course LA Looks brand) they only show from 5-10. Then from the place I was looking at, they didn't sell anything below seven. Why don't they just make the index from 1-5, with 5 as the "extreme" hold? Makes since to me, but then, maybe I just didn't see the lower indexed holds. Maybe someone can let me know if they do make LA looks with lower than 5 as the index hold. Okay, okay, so, Human Sexuality was about the female anatomy. Some interesting stuff that I didn't know. We also touched on circumcision. Okay, this isn't class review, so I won't go into it. If you wanna know, just e-mail me. Then I got to go home, eat some good lunch, then Monique came over later to take us to the fair. So, were at the fair now. Man it was fun. Went on a few rides, the more "extreme" rides. Haha, its the extreme blog tonight. The rides were fun, and I took Monique on a few she'd never been on before. We of course walked around to check out all the exhibits. We didn't go to the live stock area, cause I think cows are still cows. Unless they got like tie-dye cows, I've seen enough cows to know what they still look like. I know that if I knew a bit more about cows, I'd enjoy it. But tonight is not that day. We look some of those black-and-white 4 part pciture things. I wish I knew the name of them, but thats the best I can come up with to describe them. So that was about the end of the fair, and Monique come over to my house for a little while after. I grabbed some snacks, and we both left my house. I went to school, and Monique back home. I had astronomy. Not to fun. So, that brings to me tonight. So far, I've done everything except my homework so far. I've done a podcast and uploaded some pictures to flickr (which I'll put up here later). But I still have to do my regular work, so looks like I'll be up to 2am. Oh well, live is good. Have a great Thursday everyone! -Skyler

BLAME CANADA!!!

I am so freaking bored. It is Saturday and the last two days have been thoroughly boring. Yesterday morning I went to class, then I came home and helped my mom pack. Then I went to work---woo freaking hoo --- then I came home and slept. That was even funner. Anyway, this a.m. I got up and went to that class again. Figured out that I have to take Eng 1A, Math 27, and Chem 51 next year. ARGH. But at least I think I am going to hook up with [you] Sky and we can have a class together, schedule permitting. Well...then after that class I went to the Fac. Outlets to buy my dad some stuff. Today is his birthday and tomorrow is father's day for all you procrastinators out there. I bought myself a nice little track jacket from Aeropostale and it's so cute!!! OY! So then I went and treated myself to an expensive lunch at Applebee's and then I headed to Torie's to visit her and Anthony. That was fun. We started watching Save The Last Dance (good movie). So then I went and picked up my brother. Then I went to take my clothes to my other house (cuz I'm moving tomorrow) and then I came home again. So here I am...writing this. Being bored, missing Skyler like there's no tomorrow. I am contemplating going to the movies with Davide to see Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Woohoo...so yeah I miss Skyler. But he [you] called me last night!!! That just totally made my night because I was all depressed that I had nobody to be with or talk to. OH YEAH---yesterday I dropped my phone in the sink w/ water and it works again! YAY. So anyhoo, since I have no more to say I am going to go write thank you cards from my graduation! BUHBYE! *xoxo*

Loverboy-less

Okay, so my loverboy is going to Canada for the weekend. I am going to be lonely but I've decided that I am going to stop being a wuss and take it. I am (woohoo!) moving on Sunday so that should be thoroughly interesting. My Dadio is hiring some nice men to come and help us move all our boxes down to the house in Rohnert Park. It is going to be a long day, but whatever, right? I kinda don't want to move, but my family is not really in touch with my desires. Anyhoo, tonight, I went to the movies with iMusickid (wink) and we saw Crash. And normally, I'm not really into those artsy independent type movies, but this movie was REALLY good. Like I would even recommend it to my partents- good. Pretty nutty, eh? Well, it had its points. Definately had Sky and I on the edge of our seats trying to figure out just what was going on. We'll see, maybe I'll see it again and actually know what's going on. It's one of those movies that makes you form and opinion or sort of predict what you think is going to happen, but then the complete opposite happens...it's actually pretty interesting. So I leave for Portugal in T-minus 13 days. WAHHH. I don't want to leave yet. It seems like it's going to be this really chaotic rush to get outta this house and then into the other one and then leave to go to Portugal for SIX FREAKIN' WEEKS. I mean, I'm not complaining that I'm going, because I really do want to go, but it's sorta all cramped up together and it's going to be a lot to take in. Ya know what I mean? Agh. I think what is really going to get me is that I'm going to go to Portugal with all the stuff in my house completely packed up, then we come back to a house that needs to be completely unpacked and lived in, and then to top it off, I have SCHOOL the next week. All in all, I thank GOD that I have Skyler because he really is my grounding force. If I didn't have him there to pull me back down to earth I swear I'd be floating in la-la-I-hate-my-life land and that doesn't sound like fun to me. So thank you, Skyler. Anyhoo, I'm writing way to much...I must save some for the rest of the weekend. *xoxo*

Sky = CRAZY

Why is having your computers like sitting next to each other so fun? I wish I had two computers that were really cool that I could just move around with me all the time. But I guess that's what Sky does when he's home alone and Trevor and mommy and daddy are all gone. Sounds like a good deal. At least your parents let you stay home by yourself and don't make you waste your gas to drive all the way to your grandparents house just to sleep. That f-in' sucks. Anyhoo, I'm outta here. BUHBYE!
Hey Everyone!

Once again, more school, and more playing on the computer. The one cool thing that has happened is that...Everyone left! Yes, I'm home alone. Its so quite and so nice. I love being alone to do things without other people talking to me or being able to do my own thing. If you havn't seen the pic below yet, here are things I like to do when I get the house to myself. I got my iMac here along side our pc, so I can play games on the pc, or the mac for anything else. Having my mac in the middle of the house also allows me to listen to music and podcasts all though the house. Fun fun fun!! Okay, time for some lunch. Later all!

Zen TV Experiment

Zen TV Experiment - Check this one out people!
Yesterday was first day of class. I have Physchology 3 (Human Sexuality) at 10am and Astronomy at 7pm. It kind of makes my school days kind of filled up cause I don't have my nights off. But it also structures my days well so it gives me something to do. For the first day and a half of school, not so bad. The only complaint so far is that my astronomy teacher is hard to heard and understand at times. He was also having trouble getting his slide show running on a mac, which he never ended up using. But I did go up front to help him out. It was a G4 powermac, but god was it slow. Even my iMac G4 was obviously faster than that thing. I think there is a standard that if you have a windows computer, and it craps out, its expected. But if you have a mac, and there is a problem, then it shows how the mac sucks. Kind of reminds me of the Bush - Gore debates from 2000. People except Bush to mess up speaking, even now-a-days, but if someone with, or something, with some class messes up once every blue moon, its a bigger deal. With my computer, I can count the number of times my computer has crashed, with one hand. Yeah, less than 5 times. I want someone with windows to tell me honestly they're computer hasn't crashed less than 5 times in the first year. So I guess this all comes down to standards, and that people have different standards for computers. But if you think about it, shouldn't they all have the same standards? Whatever, leave me a comment if your interested. Anyway, after morning class, I went to Monique's house to help her more with her computer, and we did some swimming. Then out to dinner with mom and dad, who left for the week. Yay! party time! My brother already has started, and he's still got a LAN going from last night, and its 2pm now. I hope these kids leave soon. I love a quite house with no people. Well, maybe some good friends. Okay, enough ranting for today. Later -Skyler

Today's big event was Monique setting up her new laptop. She got a Compaq laptop from her parents for graduation. I'd say its a fairly nice computer, even if it is a windows machine. I'm surprised my iMac even let me type the worlds Windows XP, let alone say it was good. Hehe. Anyway, its a nice pc and I know it will work out well for her. As long as she keep her updates for viruses, ad-ware, and security updates, she should be okay. I know she's also going to get an iPod soon so, I can't wait to see her walking around with white ear-buds...

Graduation! Wow, what a day. I was up early to go to Petco to buy a gift certificate. Then dressed nice to go to play with the band. We played our songs on the grass, then the seniors came out. We played Pop and Circumstance like 10 times in a row, and my lips were hurting. But then again, I'm a band geek, and I thought it was fun. I took a lot of pictures during the Graduation, but haven't seen any pics yet. After all the grads got done, I went with Monique over to her house. She had a family party which was quite fun. Swimming, lots of food, family and friends. I got Monique a silver bracelet along with a Petco gift card. She's getting a cat when she comes back from Portugal, so I got something she will use. It was fun, and I stayed a few hours. I forgot to plan a ride home, so my dad had to come back to pick me up. :-| oops. I left right when she was opening her presents, and I heard later she got a Compaq laptop, along with lots of cash. I'm a bit jealous. But I worked hard this last week, so I got some spending money myself. Anyway, my dad picked me up, and we had a cool drive to Alex's house. We drove the car top down listening to music. Alex's party was mostly wrapping up, but I caught the tail end. It was great to see all the band kids. After that, I came home, and Monique stopped by before she left for Project Grad. The rest of my night was spent making a DVD that I am sooo close to finishing! Okay, night all!
Dinner at El Torrito was great. Monique and I always go to that place cause it is her favorite place to eat. I love the chicken burrito there! Yum!!!

Went to the library today to pick up two books. One on hypnosis and the other was a Tom Clancy series called Net Force. Then fifteen minutes ago, Monique dropped of Fast Food Nation. So, it looks like I have lots to read this week. I am also trying to finish Angels and Demons too.... Wish me luck!

Playlist: Copy-protected CDs: Rearview reality:

This is just a great article.
Welcome anyone, I just got a little bit to say. I have a podcast and I am starting to weblog again. We'll see how this goes....
