Wow, I just saw the wierdest commercial. You see people with orange jackets in the forrest. So I guess these people are hunters. Then they cut to a dear eating or standing still next to a tree. Then you see the hunters looking and creeping towards the deer. They all stand up and start throwing rocks at the dear. There must be around a dozen or so hunters in this group. It seems like they were not all connected with each-other, but still going after the same dear. Anyway, you see the dear again, with rocks flying at it. The shot stays for around 3 seconds, untill the dear gets hit with a few rocks, then runs away. The next shot is the hunters looking sad that they didn't get the dear. Then, the ending shot, a snickers ad logo along with the saying "It's not satisfying unless you eat it". Okay, wtf!?!? What does hunting for a dear have to do with a snickers bar? Are they trying to make the ads so outrageous that people will watch just for entertainment? I think this really says something about advertising now-a-days, and how stupid brain dumb people us consumers must be. That if you are an established company with a product, you don't even need to advertise to sell the product, you just have to advertise the product. This means, all the companies have to do is show the Snickers logo, and people will buy that product. How did we get here? And as a comsumer, arn't you a little scared by that? The power that these ads have over your brain? Does that not chill you to the bone, like it does me? They don't even have to prove it to you anymore, they just show snickers logo. If this is true, how did we make that change where we think Snickers are the answer to out problems. Its just so crazy cause they only advertise the brand, not the product. Maybe thats what advertising is comming to now a days. People can remember a brand and logo better than a taste or feeling. We'll, I would say that they can advertise a logo better than anything else. You can see a logo in print, the internet, or on tv. I dunno, someone let me know what they think so I don't think I've gone crazy.
